Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree

I have an idea.  You know that person on your gift-list who is ridiculously hard to shop for?  Your step-grandpa or great aunt Ida, or whoever?  How about this … don’t shop at all.  Instead, simply find a treasured memento from their past — like this fabulous curved-wood rocking chair — reupholster the faded, dated fabric, give it a little shiny shine, and bam!  You are the new favorite step-grandchild/niece/nephew/beneficiary!

That’s what Caitlin did, except swap out the ‘treasured memento from the past’ for ‘found it at a yard sale’ and it’s basically the same story.  Check it out on her blog The Picket Fence Projects.
