Wintertiiiiime, and the livin’ is eaaaaasy

I feel like I should share something wintery now that we’re in December, but I have this spring-time fresh front porch makeover that I like a lot, so we’re going with that. Maybe our friends in Australia will appreciate it.   Or Phoenix!  Not to rub it in, but it’s total front porch weather here. I pretty much wear flip-flops all month.  I don’t think I own a coat. I haven’t shoveled a driveway or scraped a windshield in at least six years. OK, now I’m rubbing it in.

But anyone can appreciate the transformation Ashley’s porch went through, from former motorcycle parking/dumping grounds (do I spy a cactus garden?), to the serene space it is today.  I’m loving that built-in bench.  Read all about it on her blog Domestic Imperfection.

Love it! OK…it was 22 degrees when I came to work this morning. Better find me a place to live where I can wear flip-flops, too!!!!

It’s Summer but we get the point. 😉 Us Aussies practically live on the porch (or verandah), so good timing for us! Cool make over! @ Mumzy, it was 36C here yesterday (about 95F) you’d definitely need your thongs (flip flops) (Why am I always having to translate for the Yanks? (Americans?) )

Thanks for rubbing that in. It’s been a blizzard all day here, the hi ways are closed, my husband can’t even come home because the roads are not passable. I’d give a lot to wear flip flops outside!

Oh man! That’s rough. You can rub it in in the summertime when it’s so hot here I have to drive with oven mitts on.

Wow. Ashley, your porch looks so refreshed. Thanks for the idea on your blog at Domestic Imperfection… I’m refreshing mine next month, Feb. 2013.
