Snacking goes Packing

Are you in the mood for a kitchen makeover or a bedroom makeover?  Pick one.

Can’t decide?

You don’t have to!  Brit at House Updated is offering you a two-for-one deal today with this kitchen she turned into a bedroom.  Whaaa?  That’s right.  For reasons unexplained, this kitchen was upstairs alongside the other two bedrooms in the house.  Maybe it was actually a bedroom all along, but the previous owners got tired of going downstairs for a midnight snack or something?  Not a bad idea, now that I think about it.

But Brit didn’t want her new baby girl nestled against the stove, (which I’m pretty sure wasn’t up to code anyway) so she gutted the whole thing and turned it into a lovely bedroom mere hours before giving birth.  Wow!  Be sure to check out her blog for more views, you won’t want to miss what I like to call ‘the cookbook collage.’

Thanks so much Lindsey for sharing our girl’s room! I’m pretty sure she is happier being in a bedroom rather than a kitchen. 🙂

This room definitely looks better as a bedroom. Since the blog doesn’t mention being without a kitchen, I’m guessing that this was a second kitchen and there was a first kitchen on the first floor. I’ve seen this sort of thing on home improvement TV shows when the house has been divided into apartments. Nice job!

What, converting that kitchen into a bedroom was obviously a silly choice. She could of stored the baby in the fridge for example and once older the child would be a prodigy chef who would reinvent the culinary world. At least that is my logic thinking that is what would happen when raising a child into a kitchen. You know the stove and fridge whispering their secrets to her…..Oh never mind.

LOL… I just ready Cody’s comment. At 3:21 in the morning after 18 hours of solid teacher type studying, that comment is stinkin’ hilarious. I’m pretty sure it really means I just need to go to bed. But if I dream of a stove and a fridge and a baby… just sayin’

Love your blog! Sometimes I don’t like how the “afters” turn out, but I admire the work and creativity that goes into the projects!
