Happy Bath!

So here’s a sad story.  Yesterday was my husband’s birthday. That’s not the sad part. I made him his very favorite German chocolate cake that he looks forward to all year.  I put it on my pretty glass cake plate and frosted it up nice.  Then I went to move the cake plate, and somehow it slipped out of my hands.  The plate fell and shattered and the cake plopped face-down the pile of glass shards, and my finger got sliced up pretty bad along the way. It happened so fast!  One second I’m moving a cake, and two seconds later the kitchen looks like a war zone.  Blood, cake, and glass everywhere.  It was a rather unappetizing scene.  And that was my epic fail sad story.

Now, here comes a happy one.  Helen at Seaside Interiors wanted to update her bathroom, so she did!  So many great changes in here, love the flooring, love the lighting, love the new vanity color and mirror, and those super tall double curtains!  What a cool look.  Epic win for Helen!

Oh no! I’m so sorry about your cake. What a bummer.

That bathroom though, has nothing to be sorry about. Fantastic! Can we just declare now that all shower curtains must be hung at full height? What a difference that alone makes.

Oh, Lindsey! I am so sorry about your finger and the cake. I am sure your husband understands and was sad to see your finger cut up. 🙁 Isn’t it weird how fast bizarre accidents can happen?

Love the bathroom redo from Helen. It is a happy place. 🙂 Okay, going to go repin your pin. 😉

Bless your heart! A double horrible. Dang. Hope your finger is muchly better soon.
That is my hubby’s favorite cake too. His bd is Christmas day and he always has that cake for his bd and the holidays. Once we were at his aunt’s for the holidays and she made the cake for him. When it came time to sing hb and him to take that first awaited bite his face took on a look that said, Some thing is wrong. His auntie had left the sugar out of the coconut frosting. 😀 She felt terrible but it was so funny. Things do happen around German Chocolate Cake. 😉

This is SO cute! How hard was it to change the light above the sink. I need to do this and I’m nervous to do it myself. Never done it before.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen one this long, but I have seen people sew two together and trim to size.

They do sell extra long shower curtain liners. I remember seeing it in a YHL post. You have to order them, don’t carry them in stores usually.

Aww Lindsey, I’m so sorry to hear about your cake falling and the poor cuts all over your hands!! I hope you are healing well :). We just got back from vacation without internet access so I am just now reading the post. Thank you for sharing the bathroom with your readers and for all the lovely comments! I purchased the long liners on amazon.com but I ended up cutting them down quite a bit to fit in the tub.
