Even though Halloween is just about over, that doesn’t mean the party has to stop. It’s still fall, ya’ll! I truly look forward to this season all year. What is there to not like about fall? Nothing, that’s what.
That’s why I’m so excited to announce today that I’ve been asked to be a part of The Home Depot’s Fall Style Guide Blogger Network.
Have you heard of The Home Depot’s Style Guides? They are amaaaazing. It’s kind of like a free magazine full of seasonal project ideas, trends in decor and home design, plus exclusive Home Depot savings and offers, for free! Did I already say free? It’s just that they really are so chock-full of great content, it almost seems like a crime not to be paying.
Here is my favorite feature from the current edition: how optical illusions can make your bedroom seem bigger and brighter, and just … better! Behold:
It’s the same room, no joke. Watch the whole transformation HERE.
If you subscribe to the Style Guide, you’ll receive updates each time a new edition is released, plus there’s even an iPad app, (of course there is!) so you can enjoy browsing project ideas and plan for home improvements wherever you go.
I can’t wait to share more in the next couple of months, including a few of my own projects inspired by the Fall Style Guide.
Maybe if I get super motivated, something like this ridiculosly rad snowman wreath? We’ll see!
Home Depot can be found:
- Online at www.homedepot.com
- On Facebook at www.facebook.com/homedepot
- On Twitter at twitter.com/homedepot

November 1, 2012 at 3:34 AMI LOVE your site and had gotten into the habit of visiting every day. However, did something change recently? It seems like it takes a really long time to upload the site now, and it does the same if I want to go to the second page. I have to confess that I haven’t been able to come by every day b/c of how long it takes to upload now. Still try to catch up when I can, though!

November 1, 2012 at 12:17 AMHmmm, no not a fan of the after photo of the bedroom. I think they were trying just a little too hard and have gone a bit overboard. Way too many pictures!…..and they are even reflected in the mirrors too lol. Love the mirrors though, and the gorgeous bedding. :))

November 1, 2012 at 2:34 PMIn Canada we have the Home Depot Dreambook instead of Style Guide. My company produces it – from styling to photography to printing. It’s absolutely amazing to see what they come up with! (And they hold an employees-only yard sale at the end of the season to get rid of anything they can’t return. Win-win!)

November 1, 2012 at 9:51 PMThe after picture? I’d rather jump on the bed then try to sleep in that incredibly chaotic, busy room.

November 2, 2012 at 7:56 AMWow! I think the mirrors make the room look bigger, but the reflection seems to give the impression that there’s too much going on in the room, when actual fact there isn’t. I think if they went for smaller mirrors or none at all, then it might not look so busy. If that’s the look they were going for though they’ve done a marvelous job. I really like the colour scheme and it looks classy 🙂
