So, did you survive Halloween? We decided to rent a cotton candy machine this year instead of handing out candy, and it was a big hit. I even overheard one kid comparing us to “the house that gives out whole candy bars.” Yes, we were second only to that house. I’d call that an accomplishment.
I’d also call THIS an accomplishment, because it is, and also because I just love an awkward segue. Gretchen enhanced the parts of her table and chairs that featured a beautiful wood grain, and painted right over the parts that didn’t. (Shhh, don’t tell, but the tabletop is actually Formica. Fooled me!)
Check out more on her blog Gretchen’s Garage.

November 2, 2012 at 6:08 PMOK, so I am totally addicted to cotton candy. It’s a feast for all the senses. If I had been trick-or-treating in your ‘hood, you’d have won best house, hands down. And that includes the whole candy bar house. I probably would have changed costumes and gone back for seconds, ’cause that’s how I roll.
