Two Tone Table

This before table had a two-tone look going on. An interesting, what-the-heck-is-going-on-with-this-table’s-finish-did-you-start-to-re-finish-this-table-and-got-bored-two-minutes-in-so-you-left-it-like-for-so-long-that-it-got-damaged-on-the-other-side-from-regular-wear-and-tear-so-you-finally-got-sick-of-it-and-hauled-it-outside-sold-it-on-craigslist look. I don’t know if that’s what really happened, but that’s what happened in my head.
Anyway, after Jamielyn from I Heart Naptime {with chocolate sundaes} got her hands on it, she gave it a lovely black and white two-tone that looks especially great with the red accents in her dining room. I heart the chandelier too! Thanks Jamielyn!

Vintage Ikea

Maybe you’ve tried looking at your local thriftstore for an ornate vintage frame to give a sexy makeover to. Maybe your local thriftstore is like mine, mainly carrying a vast assortment of boring and/or cheap frames, usually still displaying pictures of kittens wearing hats. Not sexy.
If that be the case, go visit my boyfriend, IKEA, and he will hook you up with this lovely frame for only $24! You can give it a distressed makeover like Christen did from La Vida Lista, along with a chalkboard for love notes! I much prefer love notes to kitty pictures, but maybe that’s just me… Thanks Christen!

Freehand Flowers

Do you love the look of big, bold graphics on the wall? A vinyl this size would probably cost a small fortune. If you’d rather not spend the cash, be a brave girl (or boy), get out your paintbrush, and just paint that sucker yourself!
That’s what Veronica did, and added some major punch to an otherwise punch-free room. Check out more on her blog Everyday Kings. Thanks Veronica, great job!

Table + Cloth

I admit, I get a bit leery when I hear the words “decoupaged furniture.” It just conjures up images of tacky bunkbeds plastered with Jonathan Taylor Thomas pictures ripped fresh from the pages of Tiger Beat. Not that I … did that … or anything… (Does anyone else remember JTT? I’m old!)
This table by Yvonne is anything but tacky, I’d say. She repainted this old farm table glossy black and decoupaged simple floral fabric on the top. Looks great, even with no teen idols in sight! Thanks Yvonne!

Easter Eggs

I hope you have a happy Easter weekend! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Thank you so much for being here and supporting my blog! It makes my day to read all of your comments and the sweet, sweet emails I receive. If I could give you all an Easter basket full of love and candy, I would!
But how about the next best thing? An Easter basket makeover! These eggs are less chick, more chic, courtesy of a coat of paint by Megan! Thanks Megan! See more on her blog HERE
And have a great weekend friends!

Stunning Stools

Oh, someone help! Please help us! We are a sad pair of lovely vintage barstools, cruelly recovered in what appears to be pleather automotive upholstery, then recklessly abused and abandoned!
But wait! What’s that I hear? Why, it’s Jenni from Peppertowne, coming to rescue us! Why look, she is ripping off our nasty fabric and recovering us in something befitting of our ornate, ladylike bases! And are those POM-POMs I see!? Hooray! I knew we were worthy of love! Thanks Jenni!
Check out her blog HERE for a full tutorial!
