I admit, I get a bit leery when I hear the words “decoupaged furniture.” It just conjures up images of tacky bunkbeds plastered with Jonathan Taylor Thomas pictures ripped fresh from the pages of Tiger Beat. Not that I … did that … or anything… (Does anyone else remember JTT? I’m old!)
This table by Yvonne is anything but tacky, I’d say. She repainted this old farm table glossy black and decoupaged simple floral fabric on the top. Looks great, even with no teen idols in sight! Thanks Yvonne!

April 5, 2010 at 3:34 PMI’m going to have to take issue with the idea that knowing who JTT is means you are old. It’s not like you crushed on a Cory, or worse, Scott Baio. For myself, I was always a bigger fan of Brad Renfro.

April 5, 2010 at 3:53 PMThat does look fantastic. Too funny about JTT, I remember my niece being absolutely sure he was her future husband. LOL! I’ll be somewhere there is evidence of a bunk bed with decoupaged images from Tiger Beat that has your name written all over it. 🙂

— But it is LOVELY!
Great job!!!!
~ And JTT isn’t old.
Mine were River Phoenix.. Corey Haim.. and still is Brad Pitt. I must be older than you are because JTT was young to me.. 🙂

April 5, 2010 at 7:58 PMThat table looks absolutely fabulous and just what my coffee table and side tables in my living room need! I have never decoupaged with fabric before though, only paper. Any tips?
