If we are Instagram friends, (@betterafterlnz) you might have noticed that I am in Georgia at the Haven Conference right now! I’ve been so excited to attend this year for my first time ever. I can’t wait to see some old blogging friends and make a bunch of new ones.
But by far, the absolute highlight of this trip is the fact that I get to work with GMC again, as they transform another Habitat For Humanity home in Atlanta!
Last year, I was one of the (insanely) lucky bloggers chosen by GMC to travel down the 127-Sale, aka The World’s Longest Yardsale.
Brittany from Pretty Handy Girl, Brooke from All Things Thrifty, Traci from Beneath My Heart, Donna from Funky Junk Interiors and I hit the road for a few days in our sweet GMC rides, starting at the tippy top of the sale in Michigan and ending in Alabama. We were each assigned a room in an un-seen Habitat For Humanity home to furnish and decorate with the treasures we found along the way.

Once we reached the home in Birmingham, we had just hours to attack, as we had to frantically move, assemble, paint, decorate, and makeover all the items we had stuffed in our trunks along the way. It was CRAZY!
This year, GMC has organized a new team of bloggers to travel the sale, while last year’s team will be reporting on their progress from the conference. Then, we’ll all come together on Sunday to help at the house, and I’m already getting chills just thinking about it.
It was one of the coolest, most rewarding experiences of my life to surprise the new homeowner and her children with a fully-furnished and decorated home, and I can’t wait to be a part of it again.
