Although it’s a definite step up from sleeping on the ground, RV camping is still nothing glamorous. Unless you are, I don’t know, Bret Michaels or someone. But from my humble experience, you will most likely be contending with an iffy toilet and lots of fakey veneer and baby blue velvet all up in your space.
That wasn’t good enough for Audra. She made-over this outdated RV with white paint, wood floors, slipcovers, and even a classy accessory here and there. She plans to sell it, and I hope she finds someone really tidy to sell it to, because it is immaculate! Beautiful job. Much more to see on her blog The Wright Family.

June 13, 2013 at 10:39 PMThat’s an incredible makeover! Wow, I would like to do something like this one day when I retire; set it up in a nice year round warm spot and just enjoy the compact living.

June 14, 2013 at 4:27 AMThank you for all of the kind comments. I had a blast with this reno and I wasn’t out a lot on expenses-huge plus! We camp usually at several different lakes and the laminate wood floor is very easy to Swiffer, the slipcovers are made from painters drop cloths and can easily be laundered if needed. It worked great for us (my husband, myself, our son who almost always brings a friend along, and our dog.) Thank you again, ~Audra

June 19, 2013 at 2:32 PMWhen I grow up, can this be mine?
I used to watch tv under the “kitchen table” in my parents’ RV. Where was this then? 🙂

August 2, 2013 at 2:55 PMWhat paint did you use for your cabinetry? I haven’t found anything that doesn’t peel right off.
