This hearth was all kinds of awkward. All I can think of when I look at it is how fun it would have been to dress it up like Uncle Sam for the 4th of July. Do you see it too? Anyway, it went through a small makeover at some point, when Audra dressed it up with drywall and paint and removed the brass doors, but it was still a beastly-sized thing.
Eventually, she added built-ins on either side, and with that came the
stream-lined slimmed-down style she now enjoys today! Just beautiful,
and just waiting on some custom doors to complete the look. See her
