If you gave me this dilapidated old dresser to makeover, I probably would have … painted it. Stenciled it, if I was feeling ambitious. Changed the hardware if I was really on a roll.
But not Corey. She went above and beyond, and then above and beyond that, and then above and beyond THAT.
I swear, it’s the same piece! Underneath the new shaker style doors, show-stopping hardware, rebuilt top, extra shelf on the bottom, and stained paneling lurks the buried bones of the old dresser. Scouts honor. Cross my heart. Pinky promise. I cannot tell a lie.
Check out Corey’s blog at Sawdust 2 Stitches to see her whole process.

October 20, 2015 at 12:26 PMMy reaction? “Oh, my GOODNESS!” Just–WOW! Yeah, you got me to say ‘Wow!’ Does she have an extra set of eyes? I ask that because she has extrasensory perception and I am so jealous! Brilliant! Just brilliant!

October 20, 2015 at 1:33 PMLindsey, my employer is starting to have a beef with you because I went to look at Corey’s website (these people have a LOT of skills!), then I looked at the other bloggers participating in the challenge, and I rediscovered Crafty Chica…………..where was I?
