According to my watch, it’s still National Pink Day, so the party isn’t over yet! Check out this desk and chair makeover from Lynda at Oh So Shabby. It is so cute it’s causing me physical pain. I’m experiencing spasms in the cuteness cortex of my brain. Can’t even handle the cute. It caused my daughter to squeal with delight when she saw the picture, so I think she’s on the same page too.
And if clean lines are more your thang, check out what Leslie at City Girl Arts did to this formerly snore-y dresser. Would you have ever thought to pair hot pink with orange? I wouldn’t have, but I’m digging it!

June 23, 2014 at 6:58 PMOf all the colors in the world, pink is one of my least favorite. SORRY!!!!! I do like the hot pink and orange dresser as those two colors are just the happiest when they’re paired together.

June 23, 2014 at 7:31 PMOooh; Pink! Nuh, sorry not my cup of tea, but I reckon my cutsie little 6 year old niece would go nutso for the first one in her room. Pretty Princess! I do like the 60’s Mary Quant colours on the last one! Oh Lawdy how I remember wearing hot pink trousers with an orange shirt. (showing my age there!)
Oh and BTW, I’m subscribed by email (long time!) but not getting any emails from the site! Yahoo is obviously not happy with you. Meh, I’ll just get my fix once a week instead by coming directly.

June 24, 2014 at 6:04 AMHey, Maria from Oz! I HAD a dress in the 60s with pink and orange. My mother made it for me and I loved it.
That must be why I am so drawn to the last dresser. Lindsey, you are right in saying that it’s an unexpected combination but I think it really works and brings that dresser right into the new century but still seem appropriate to the style.
The desk and chair are nice if you live in a princess palace; they are updated and cute for a girly girl. I wonder what they would look like in hot pink and orange…

July 1, 2014 at 11:11 AMThe middle one needs the original pulls back. The pink ones cheapen it…and so does the zebra print. Maybe if the print was more sophisticated to match the dresser it could work. I like the direction but it’s slightly off.
