Every now and then, a reupholstered item will come my way that is so fabulous, it causes me to think, “Oh yeah. I am FOR SURE taking an upholstery class. I am going to find that class, then I’m going to take that class, then I’m going to PASS THAT CLASS, and finally, finally I’ll be able to reupholster cool stuff and all of my dreams will come truuuue!”
Anyway. This is one of those times. From Lisa at Sweet Parsley Home.

May 8, 2014 at 8:35 AMHonestly I really liked the “before” chair, but the “after” chair is W.O.W.! I think I’ll go sign up for that upholstery class you mentioned. 🙂

May 8, 2014 at 10:32 AMYou missed off the end of your sentence which should read ”Oh yeah. I am FOR SURE taking an upholstery class. I am going to find that class, then I’m going to take that class, then I’m going to PASS THAT CLASS, and finally, finally I’ll be able to reupholster cool stuff and all of my dreams will come truuuue!….Except that fabric hates me, and I hate fabric, and the last time I tried to reupholster a simple chair base it was so bumpy it looked like I had accidentally stapled a ferret under the fabric and it was desperately trying to escape…so maybe not, maybe I will just sit and eat this bag of snacks instead and just admire other people’s works of art”
Or maybe that’s just me, maybe you’re just better than I am huh! *slowly eats an M&M maintaining eye contact*

May 8, 2014 at 11:18 AMI have some similar chairs that I bought from my sister (coveted them for like 20 years) and I really like the contrast, these are beautiful. Thanks for your great posts!

May 8, 2014 at 12:49 PMI also liked the plaid. But what made me do a double-take is the white chair with blue and white fabric. Eerily close to a chair I’ve redone….http://instagram.com/p/b4lJxkxMMl/

May 8, 2014 at 5:48 PMI have to agree with Rebecca. I love the before on this chair, but I am a fiend for plaid. 🙂

May 9, 2014 at 12:22 AMIf you ever actually hear about upholstery classes in Phoenix, let me know. I still have that chair in the corner of my bedroom covered by a sheet (and let’s be honest – piles of clothes) that I need to reupholster someday.
