Poster Bed Poster Child

This poster bed was a bit of an intimidating sight, without anything else nearby to soften it. But Mary Ann at Classic Casual Home changed that with shower curtains! Now before you run off to go tack your vinyl Hawaiian beach shower curtain behind your bed, let me explain that these were extra-long ticking stripe fabric curtains found on Etsy.  (Although I actually did own that Hawaiian curtain, and it actually hung on my wall as decor. I was in college.  It was an … experimental time).

New pillows and bedding complete the look, and I especially love how she painted the lamps black too.  They anchor the white dressers and add a masculine touch to this room (something her college-age son who occupies it probably appreciates).

 

On this wall: a lone TV looking lonely.

But it looks great surrounded by a gallery of friends!
