Is there anything more oppressive than floor to ceiling brown paneling? In a basement, no less? It wasn’t a space that sparked much creative brain activity, other than maybe my favorite game, “What’s The Best Way To Escape This Area In A Hostage Situation?” Yeah. I can be a little paranoid sometimes. My other favorite game is “Remember Everything About This Exact Moment In Case You Need It Later For An Alibi.” But ANYWAY. Enough about me.
Let’s talk about the gorgeous play-room Brit turned it into! It’s just so darn happy! Maximum creative-juicing happening in here for sure. See that storage unit in the back? It’s an Ikea hack! Love that. So much more to see on her blog House Updated.

April 4, 2014 at 12:59 PMLove the transformation here. If only my creative space were this inspiring. The ottomans remind me of video game buttons; nice touch! I wonder if they have the added effect that if you sit a child on one, the parents immediately gain stress relief? I might even resort to cheat codes to get that added bonus, hehe. Thanks for sharing, Lindsey!

April 5, 2014 at 9:36 PMLindsey can I just say I love you so much and you are a beautiful person. I thought I was the only one who played the game “What’s The Best Way To Escape This Area In A Hostage Situation?”. I may be a male and in my twenties but being kidnapped/held hostage is a very valid fear for me. Can you say black van with tinted windows, duct tape, and a cloth dipped in chloroform *shudders*.
