TV console is keyed up!

Holy moly, are you watching The Voice?  I used to love that show.  I can’t even handle it lately.  These battle rounds are the worst!  It’s just a scream-fest to see who can out-shout R. Kelly songs at each other. I can’t even handle it.  My husband, on the other hand, is a huge fan.  I’m afraid we are going to be those people who need the special tv-watching headphones to keep our marriage alive sooner than we think.

But here’s something I could watch all day: furniture transformations! Stephanie at Simply Swider wanted a sleek new TV console. What she found was an outdated TV console from a hotel liquidation for $30.  Close enough.  With fresh paint and a Greek-key design she made with trim pieces, it totally looks the part now.  Swanky!

I love it!!! I wish I could just look at a piece in Goodwill and see what it could become like these crazy creative people. *sigh*

What a great transformation! I also really dig those black and white photos in the warm wood frames.

How’s this for a strange coincidence? I’ve been sorting through old photos this evening and I just came across pictures I took of a hotel room that has furniture that exactly matches the before picture. It was a Marriott, possibly San Jose, and the year was 1994.
