If you’re tired of the “paint it white and distress it” look that’s ever so popular, here’s something very much the opposite: the “oil paint it black with a bronze silk screen design.” SO unique! It hasn’t taken the nation by storm … yet. Maybe when we all get our hands on whatever it is you use to make silk screens. Silk … and screens? That’s my best guess.

December 19, 2013 at 2:43 PMTruly stunning! I love that is it bold enough to make its own lime light. I find the distressed white a rather gross trend. I just seem to not be able to wrap my mind around fixing a piece of furniture to put forth the extra effort of distressing it. I mean if you are going for the country chic look just go to a junkyard and they have tons of pieces without the effort. Can you tell that I dislike the trend lol?

December 19, 2013 at 2:57 PMI am not a fan of the distressed white look that is oh-so popular today. This is such a lovely piece, not sure I am ready to take on silk screening but it’s nice to see a new technique for furniture.

December 19, 2013 at 6:02 PMWow, that is one good-lookin’ piece of furniture. I looked up how to silk screen on wood. Way too confusing for me. Think I’ll skip the silk screen and freehand a design.
