I can Phil it coming in the air tonight.

So how do you feel about the chevron ‘trend?’ Coming?  Going?  I don’t actually want to know.  Because I am still quite enamored with it, and to hear otherwise might break my little chevron-lovin’ heart. (But I will happily host a discussion on my true feelings about the mustache trend, if you ever want to know).

Tiffany recently shared our mutual love of the ziggity zag on the blog The Craftiest of Women, with her painstaking table makeover.  Creating and staining the individual wooden pieces of the chevron design was the painstaking part.  Painting over the Phil Collins lyrics, probably not so much.

I will never get tired of chevron – wish all my floors were herringbone patterned too!
Love this table – beautiful job!

You’re WAY too young to know this but that song is and always will be a Mindbenders song!! Phil Collins didn’t even write it – Carole Bayer Sager and Toni Wine did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddcIunulJi4

Oh – Chevrons?? Classic – in small doses. 🙂

I’m so with you. LOVE chevron in small doses (and this is amazing) but I TOTALLY don’t get the mustache thing.

There is NO better motivator than spray paint! It took my little project from last place on the refinish priority list to first within 24 hours! Magic. The chevron trendy…well OBVIOUSLY I adore. As long as it isn’t over kill & it’s done well. I’m enjoying this fun trend. Mustaches on the other hand, they belong on villains in storybooks & Borat. They should be left there. Period. Thanks for the feature. 🙂

Oh my. At first I thought the before pic was the after. I was like “are you kidding me?!” The table is AMAZINGLY beautiful! I’m more into the mustache thing than chevron. But not real mustaches! They are yuck, unless your Tom Selleck 🙂

Gorgeous table…and yep, I was thinking Phill Collins? That song is WAY older than he is!

ooOoOoOooOohhh love it. LOVE Chevron. I think maybe for clothing, it might be on the outs as far as a trend (?), but that table will always look cool in my opinion. It’s classic! Mustaches are annoying, however.

That table looks awesome! (I have to say that I love your blog. I’ve been reading it for a while, and it’s easily one of my favorites. You’re funny and real, and I appreciate that!)

I never did get the chevron thing. I’ve tried, I really have. I would try to think, “Oh look, more chevron! Neato!” But my brain would veer off to “Why?” And now it says “Why still?” What a party pooper, eh? But it’s better than over-spray-stenciled Phil Collins lyrics.
