So the mega trend in kitchens lately seems to be going white. I’m behind it, I think it looks fresh and classic at the same time. It really lends itself to a cleaner, uncluttered look. I like how Kristina opted not to decorate the tops of her cupboards here. I think people are starting to refrain from stuffing decor in every available space these days, and the look is much improved!
And did you notice how she had some of the cupboards routered to add glass panels? I didn’t know you could even do that to builder-grade, non custom cabinets! Neato! Check out more on her blog The Purple Pea. Thanks Kristina!

July 14, 2010 at 5:39 AMLOVE the white, but how do ya pull that off if your countertops are really light?? Not in the budget to change those!

July 13, 2010 at 11:40 PMLOVE the white cabinets and the doors with glass. And I am so glad that they didn’t stuff a bunch of junk on top of the cabinets. That drives me crazy because it can go so wrong, so quickly that way. Especially of it is stuffed with fake foliage. Just saying..

July 14, 2010 at 8:52 PMThe white cabinets look much better than the wood. I’m so tired of my wood cabinets and am currently planning white ones.
I’d think it’d be a lot easier to clean the tops of the dropped cabinets without all the clutter, too. 🙂
