When I was growing up, I pined for this three story doll-house in the Sears Christmas catalog, EVERY STINKING YEAR. Santa never picked up on the hint, so my Barbies had to make do with some cheapy bookshelves in my room. What that has to do with this redo, I don’t know.
But I do know that Katherine dolled up her cheapy, pine bookshelves! She simply added some rosettes and trim and a two tone paint job. Now it looks amazing! Thanks for sharing Katherine! Check it out on her blog Old Branch Hollow.

July 15, 2010 at 12:50 AMThose bookcases are a dime a dozen at Goodwill. This is a great idea to jazz one or two up a bit.

August 7, 2010 at 4:31 AMI always wanted a doll house too! I turned my daugter’s nursery organizer into a Barbie cause cause the squares were 12 inches by 12 inches. Then I used 12 x 12 paper for the wallpaper and put the furniture in. I have to find those pictures and post them. lol
