Passions Uncaged

When Becca found this piano for $40, it wasn’t too noteworthy. (Pun!) The previous owners had attempted to refinish it and did a poopy job. The piano didn’t match the bench and there were gouges and chips everywhere. She decided to strip it and finish it up in a jazzy red.

PS: Does a red piano remind anyone else of that Garth Brooks video for “The Red Strokes,” where paint dramatically ooozes all over the place, up the walls and out of the piano, and it was all very mind blowing to a certain 7th grade girl who had a small crush on Garth Brooks at the time? Just me? Ok then.

Hi Lindsey! Oh, this looks so good! I actually painted an old upright piano I had many moons ago! I painted her yellow! 🙂

So cool! I saw a piano on Craig’s List for free. Makes me want to scoop it up and paint it even though no one in our family can play! 😉

I just started stalking your blog, but I had to leave a comment on this post, ’cause that Garth Brooks thing totally cracked me up! I remember getting his CD for Christmas in 7th grade and being very giggly and ecstatic!
