Candle Light

It’s getting to be that time of year when people start to spend more time outdoors. That is, unless you live in Arizona, then you only venture outside when absolutely necessary, at risk of your face melting off.
If I were gearing up for a long, enjoyable summer of hanging out in my backyard, I would love to find an old chandelier like this one from Lisa at Popcorn Served Daily. She sprayed it in oil-rubbed-bronze, removed all wires and lightbulbs and turned it into an outdoor candle holder.
Lisa actually lives in Arizona too, but I know her secret: she has a pool! I’m coming over, Lisa! Check out more on her blog HERE.

Pam’s Pretties

Here are two delightful little works of art from Pam over at Be Colorful. BE COLORFUL! It’s almost like a command! Pam will accept nothing less than cheerful, colorful fun, so all you boring pieces of furniture had better recognize!
Love the first one, but if the harlequin, checkerboard, leopard skin, trellis weave, fleur de lis, and floral is too much to handle for you, then check out the simple (yet fun!) aqua and white number directly underneath. See it HERE
Thanks Pam, I love your work!

Fe Fi Faux

Truth be told, this staircase is pretty striking even in its mid-construction, shambles-a-plenty phase.
You might think that the raw wood banister was going to be stained, but you’d be wrong! Lori wanted it to match the rest of the iron staircase, but didn’t really want to pay for it. And I don’t mean she wanted to steal one, I mean she instead gave it a metallic paint treatment with a little texture thrown in to mimic the look of real iron.
No further details as she does not have a blog that I’m aware of, but I for one would love to know more! Fill us in, Lori!

UPDATE!! Well, what do you know? Lori decided to start her own blog, and this staircase is her very first post! Head on over there and give a new blogger some encouragement! Plus, lots more pics of the stairs! Click here: Projects Plenty

Crafty Cami

I know I always whine about wanting a craft room, but honestly, I have about two shoeboxes full of craft stuff total. That’s not even enough to warrant a craft cupboard. But Cami, well, she means business. Her craft room was overflowing and unorganized, which, as everyone knows, is totally bad for crafty feng shui
So, without breaking the bank (or any walls), she improved the flow of creativity by adding tons of smart little storage solutions. The bright pops of color make it an extra happy place, and you can see way more for yourself over on her blog Creating by Cami. Thanks Cami!

Pretty Patio

Hmmm. Now where did I put that patio? I swear it was out here somewhere. Oh, here it is! Under my tax return!”
Jenn and her hubby decided this was the year to give their hot tub a home outside the garage and fix up their backyard. Looks so fun! If I was their neighbor, I’d be inviting myself over all the time! Check out more on Jenn’s Corner of Heaven.

Handle it

This chair wasn’t lacking character, that’s for dang sure. All it was lacking was a little pretty. Kristie helped it out with some new paint and a double piping upholstery job which gave her fits, but came out looking fantastic!
Isn’t that handle thing on the top an interesting detail? Wonder what the heck that’s for? Check out more on her blog, Girlville.
