Hello!  I have missed you!  I’ve been away for a bit, for a pretty good reason, but I’m back now and blogging it up for you!  I might not be at full speed yet, and I might be wearing my bathrobe, but I’m here!  Thanks again for all your sweet comments about our new little guy, we love him so much. He has been a really good baby so far, and we both managed to avoid the tropical storm of illnesses that descended upon our house this last week, whew.

Although I did manage to throw my back out one day, which was really uncool.  That’s never ever happened to me before, but as I sat there sobbing in the chiropractor’s office (a fun combination of pain and hormones) he explained that pregnancy releases all these ‘joint-relaxing’ agents into your body. This makes it much easier to tweak yourself into a paralyzed pretzel than it normally would be.  I asked him why nobody ever warns pregnant women about that, and he didn’t really have a good answer.  I think I was scaring him with all the crying.

So, here is my public service announcement to all pregnant and post-pregnant people everywhere: be careful!  Don’t be nursing a baby while answering the phone while twisting in your seat to reach something next to you, or you could end up a sniveling post-partum mess in the chiropractor’s office too, and we just don’t want that.

But I’m all fixed up now, and feeling good!  So now, here is a before and after for you, from Bonnie at The Pin Junkie.  Her bathroom went from an visual assault of sunflowers to a calming, neutral oasis. Looks so sharp and clean!  I love the mirror treatment because it’s something anyone can do since it doesn’t require mitered corners.  Simply cut boards to size and finish with a decorative door corner block.  I’ve even heard of people hot-gluing everything right to the mirror.  It’s true.
