You know how sometimes you think you have a boring old closet, but it turns out it was actually a wonderful little office all along? You know that feeling? It’s similar to the feeling I had the other day when I was bummed out because I felt like I had suddenly gained a bunch of weight, but it turns out I just had my pants on backwards. All day.
The sad thing is, that’s happened to me more than once. But the happy thing is, Jennifer now has an adorable little office (I refuse to use the word ‘cloffice’) to enjoy instead of a dreary closet, and it has faux wood planks that are super cool, and you can see more at The Old Painted Cottage.

April 9, 2015 at 11:28 AMI went to Jennifer’s blog and discovered that the faux wood is PLASTIC COATED FABRIC, from IKEA. How ingenious.

April 9, 2015 at 1:59 PMTag goes in the back. And before you cut the tag out because it has the SIZE on it (which surely is incorrect), remember that you can simply obliterate the size with a quick dot from a Sharpie marker. Ta-da! Potential wardrobe malfunctions eliminated with an artful twist of a cap.

April 9, 2015 at 2:49 PMAhhh, but these were tricky pants! No tags!

April 9, 2015 at 4:55 PMThat’s an impressive office. I would love it for myself.
I haven’t worn my pants backwards, yet, but I do occasionally think I’m losing weight only to find that I forgot to button or snap my pants closed. 😉

April 9, 2015 at 6:44 PMWow! Almost as fab as realizing you have your pants on backwards! The reveal is pretty awesome!

April 9, 2015 at 10:49 PMYeah, I’ve never put my pants on backwards, but I did wear a dress backwards. It had V neckline (not too low) in both the front and back, so the only real difference between the front and back were the darts. I’d dressed in a hurry that morning and noticed that it fit oddly (tight around the chest, but my shoulder blades had room to spare), but I hadn’t worn it in a while and, like you, I thought I’d just gained weight. I realized my mistake about half way through the work day when I looked down and saw the tag. I had to make a trip to the ladies’ room to turn my dress around.

April 10, 2015 at 12:37 PMHaha, I’ve seen a few dresses like that. It’s almost like they manufacture them like that on purpose! You can hardly tell!

April 10, 2015 at 8:08 AMoffet, le off’et, offisett, office in closet, closet secretary, the little office that could, little spot to pay bills and write thank you cards, I’ll let you know if I come up with any more options for you. oh one more, Micro office.
Lindsey @ Better After
April 10, 2015 at 12:36 PMMicro office, I like it. You could even combine the two: half office, half linen storage and call it Micro/Soft Office. I think we’re on to something.
