Two For Tea

Well, ‘ello mate!  Would you care for a spot of tea? Maybe Jen’s before cart wasn’t all that appetizing, but who could resist sneaking a scone from it now? Not me.  I am powerless around scones. (Although, I’m talking about American scones AKA  sopapillas, AKA puffy puffs of frybread.  English scones are much more biscuit-y.  But yes, I’ll have one of those too.  I guess I’m just powerless around carbs).

Anyway.  Tea cart, snack station, whatever you want to call it, it’s adorable.  I love the cross-braces Jen added on the sides.  She tells you how to do it on her blog A Thousand Words, and she makes it seem super easy!

What a wonderful transformation this cart is! I love that Jen added the braces to the sides and double love that on her blog she showed how she did it! Bravo on the colorful shelf! And I love that she doesn’t limit its use to just food–what a handy piece of furniture this has become in her household! Thanks for finding and sharing this with us, Lindsey!

I totally missed the handles. They really jazz it up.

Aaaah! I never win! But I do have a pitiful wheeled cart that was left behind by tenants that I could totally make as cute as this! So maybe I do win, afterall…is that one word because spell check doesn’t think so.

I’m a bit surprised that the word scone, to you, means fry bread. To me, scone pretty much means a biscuit, sweet or not. That’s what the scones are like in all the coffee shops I’ve been in. Is that not the case in your corner of the US?

Definitely in Arizona or Utah, if you order a scone, you are getting frybread. Must be a southwestern thing.

That is a Utah thing. The first time I walked I to Sconecutters I was like, “Fry bread?!”
