Hey hey hey! I have a few things to talk about today! First of all, THANK YOU for all your sweet, sweet feedback on Better After Gives Back. It was such a fun thing for me, and probably one of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever done. Did you watch the video? I think my husband even cried. I’m hoping to make it a returning series, just as soon as I recover, so probably in like, a year. Ha.
Secondly, THE UGLY LAMP CONTEST is upon us! I’ll have more info on that coming up, but if you’ve been a part of it in the past, you know the drill. Send in your most horrifyingly ugly lamp photo, (you do not need to personally own the lamp, but it must be an original photo) to me at betterafter(at)live.com, subject line: Ugly Lamp. I can hardly wait. I actually get giddy about it every year. It is so wrong it’s right.
Thirdly, I’ve been neglecting to announce a few giveaway winners. So sorry. Our $50 Leather Hide Store winner is Caitlin D., and the Kelly Edwards gift basket winner is Kimberly P., and you have both been emailed, so check your inbox if that sounds like you!
And fourthly, here comes a Monday morning makeover straight from Christy at Confessions of a Serial Do-it-Yourselfer. You know how they say black is slimming? I think the opposite is true in furniture world, because this black desk was a hulking monster, but in white it looks like it has totally lost weight. You been working out, desk? What’s your secret?
How about that chair? It used to be much more serious until Christy brought out its whimsical side with pretty scripted fabric vs. that former weird blue pleather. See more at Confessions of a Serial Do-it-Yourselfer.
