Show Me The Ropes

There’s probably a lot of reasons NOT to do home improvement projects after hitting the bar, but here’s one for the pro column: this amazing rope and wood accent wall was inspired by a similar wall treatment in Karah found in the bar area of a local restaurant!

She decided to recreate it in her guest bedroom, which, as you can see, kind of looked like a dive bar itself. Just needs a disco light and a jukebox full of Fleetwood Mac and she’s in business.  She knocked out the drop-ceiling and tore out the closet, then used the reclaimed wood to complete this stunning wall.  If I’m not mistaken, I believe the rope wall is now where the closet used to be.

See more from Karah on her ever-so-appropriately named blog, The Space Between.

Hahahah, the funny thing is that the previous owner had a pinball machine in this room when we first looked at … the perfect addition to this old dive bar. LOL And you’re absolutely right, that old closet is now the rope and wood accented area. Thank you so much for sharing this with your readers!!

This is really pretty. Love the desk nook. BTW, what’s wrong with Fleetwood Mac? 😉
