Organized Sublime

A fresh new year is right around the corner, and you know what that means, right?  Time to get organized!  There really is no better time to do it, except maybe the few weeks right before the new year, because then you can roll smugly into the new year feeling completely on top of your game.  Of course, this never ever happens to me thanks to all the holiday hoopla and the laying around eating fudge that occurs during this time, but it’s a nice idea.

Here are some ideas if you want to get a jumpstart on organizing your life in 2014.

You could find a sad looking organizer like Jen at Girl in the Garage did, and fix it up pretty with scrapbook paper.  Perfect for storing your small things!

Have bigger things?  Here’s one from Jesse at Nine Red,who made over this card catalog cabinet with white, gold and varying shades of blue.  The whole entryway looks refreshed.

Up close … so shiny.

Need a place to store your decoratively rolled sheet music?  I thought you’d never ask.  Here’s a lovely solution from Amanda at One Girl in Pink. (I know, I know, it’s meant for mail!)

And if your New Year’s resolution is to stop losing your keys and/or creating a place to hold memos and other paperphanelia, (just made that word up) (just Googled it and realized it’s already a giftshop in Kentucky, dangit!), then you might be inspired by Jennifer’s bulletin board makeover.
