Decone this!

If you missed part one of the Habitat for Humanity home reveal, don’t fret!  You can see it here.  If you’re here for part two, continue to not fret. I will be sharing it this afternoon.  But right now I’ve got a fun little makeover to tickle your eyeballs with from Jen at Girl In The Garage.

However! Before we get to that, did you miss the deadline for the Ugly Lamp Contest?  I feel bad because forgot to remind you on Friday that it was the last day to submit your photo.  So if you’ve got an Ugly Lamp you’re still hanging onto, send it in to betterafter (at) live.com and I’ll let it slide!

And now, please enjoy Jen’s little cabinet that she de-pine-coned, which is way less offensive than de-flowering.  Actually, those pine-cones were pretty offensive.  They grow like that zero percent of the time in nature. It’s like the cabinet maker had never actually seen a pine tree before, but had one described to him once.  “Long thin needles pointing skyward? Pinecones dangling somewhere in the vicinity?  Check and check.”

Jen, who I had so much fun meeting at Haven (Hi Jen!), pried them off and hid the rest of the evidence with pieces of a burlap sack.  So much better!
