Hello! I’ve missed you! I’m back in the saddle after spending the last week or so visiting family in Texas. I wish I could say I’m bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and raring to go, but I pretty much feel like I got backed over by a truck. Not that it wasn’t a good time, just your typical “I need a vacation from my vacation” syndrome. Although, I did have a most terrible encounter with about 50 leeches in the Guadalupe River, so maybe that’s what sucked the life out of me. (I’m not even kidding. Ohmygosh it was so gross. I’m never swimming in a river again. SO GROSS. Sorry. I hope you aren’t eating breakfast).
Anyway, let’s get that disgusting thought out of our heads by looking at something beautiful and elegant, like this vintage wallpaper dresser makeover from Joanna. Just stunning. I don’t think she could have picked a more perfect paper. You can see more of Joanna’s work on her page Levanttehome.

June 11, 2013 at 12:26 AMLeeches? EEWWWW!!! I’ve gone down the Guadalupe thousands of times and have never had an encounter with a leech. I am so sorry. I live in Round Rock (just outside of Austin). Hope you had a good time down here despite those icky creepy crawlies! I love your blog, it amazes me to see what people do. I have yet to find that special piece that is in rags so I can make it rich!
