Dipping Down Dressser

Are you a DIY dynamo?  Or more of a take-your-time-a-mo?  Or start-a-project-with-good-intentions-then-get-tired-of-it-quickly-and-pretend-it-doesen’t-exist-when-you-see-it-sadly-sitting-there-in-your-garage-a-mo?  I think you can guess what I am.  But there’s value in that approach too!

Shannon loved this dresser she found at an auction, but not so much the ‘banana pudding’ color scheme.  So she gave it a coat of white primer, and got no further than that for nearly a year.  But by then, the white had grown on her. So she finally finished it off with a glossy top-coat and a dipped look by painting the bottom in gold, and I’d say it was definitely worth the wait.  See it on her blog Burlap and Lace

And check out her makeover of the wall right here.

Thanks so much for featuring my dresser, Lindsey! And also for reminding me that procrastination is not a bad thing. Right? 😉
