There was a craftocalypse just waiting to happen up in here. Ronda was about to be swallowed alive by her craft room, aka ‘the crap room.’ How can one be creative while living in constant fear of death by papercuts? One cannot. So Ronda did what came naturally. She moved. Just kidding, that’s what I’d do. SHE did a complete overhaul on everything from the furniture to the ceiling fan!
Swoonballoons! Just look at all that storage and organization.
And this old desk got a makeover too – well, the top half did. Ronda gave the desk to a friend, but couldn’t convince her to take the hutch too. So the lonely old hutch sadly sat around the house until one day Ronda realized that it could be stunning storage all on its own with just a few tweaks.
And why not add another desk into the mix? You can’t ever have too many surfaces in your workspace. Unless you are a rice farmer. Or a dolphin trainer. Or a motorcycle stuntman. But if you like to get crafty, then hey, get yourself more than one desk. And this one turned out beautifully! You’d never ever know that it wasn’t part of the whole unit to begin with.
Tons more details to see from Ronda on her blog Batchelors Way!

March 28, 2013 at 3:45 PMEven Ronda’s “before” craft room looks more organized than mine, but the “after” is fantastic! I’d love to work on projects in a pretty room like that!

March 28, 2013 at 4:03 PMI hate my crafting room. It looks good for two weeks and then boom…there’s paper everywhere. Right now I’ve decided the best course of action is to not look at it. But maybe if I had a big shelf unit like Ronda my room would stay cleaner for longer. What is it about craft rooms that they become the catch all!?!

March 28, 2013 at 5:49 PMME WANT! ME WANT! I love the part with the cubbies for paper! I have so many kinds of paper is a joke; Christmas paper, Halloween paper, even St. Patrick’s Day paper. But I just can’t throw it out just in case I want to get my newsletter vibe on and need it. I’m totally inspired now to add the paper shelving to my existing (and kind of similar) unit. Keep ’em coming Lindsey!

March 30, 2013 at 5:49 PMI am soooooo with you on the moving to clear up a space. We have an office/craft area/crap room that I don’t think will ever be completely clear until we move. Anywho…. This is fantastic!! I even love the little stool she has on the opposite side of the desk. I also love what she did with the hutch. Great job!
