We all know that a fresh coat of paint is the number one way to bring new life to old furniture, and a set of fabulous new handles does a lot to jazz things up too. But what about different sets of handles on the same dresser? Did I just blow your mind? Maybe not, but I’ll admit I wouldn’t have thought of it. But I just love the look!

January 22, 2013 at 4:58 PMYou sure can. Have you tried chalk paint? No need to sand, strip or even prime!

January 22, 2013 at 9:16 PMI’ve tried chalk paint once but I did sand off the shine. I’m old school. I always believe that paint sticks better with a “tooth” to grip to. Also chalk paint is a flat finish and the waxing seems like an extra step to get a shine and protection. All that being said, their “red” colour is fabulous and I still have a can that I want to try out.

I have a question; I live in an upstairs apartment with nowhere to sand furniture. Can I paint without sanding?
