A Sunni Settee

Hey, remember the other day when I featured Sunni and her amazing kitchen makeover with an even amazinger budget of $2,000, which started a veritable bar-fight in the comments?  Ok, maybe not so much a bar-fight as several pointed comments insisting that it was impossible, and demanding to know specifics. Well, she was happy to oblige.  Check out her budget break-down, which I’ve added to the original post.

And now, check out this adorable loveseat that she rescued from her neighbors who were about to take it to the dump. I haven’t corroborated their story either, but I bet they’re kicking themselves now.

Boy, Sunni really needs a blog. I want to see MORE of what she’s up to! Sunni – if you are reading this can you share the name of that fabric? I am IN LOVE with it. Fan-tas-TIC!

Wow! That is beautiful. I would love to have that in my house by the fireplace. I’d live there, circle up with coffee and a good book.

Gorgeous!! I love the fabric! I’m on a damask kick right now. I agree with the others; I so wish you had a blog! I love to see a tutorial of this. For me, there’s no greater high than turning a piece of junk into a piece of art. I’m very impressed!

Haha “veritable bar-fight” that’s about right! The fabric is from Fabric.com and I reupholstered the whole couch for less than $2,000, I swear! The item number is UH-237 and it can be found here : http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=78d974b7-4046-4767-8bf9-5dfb99199eb4

Ok, I have the EXACT settee sitting in my living room. It’s completely stripped down waiting (like 8 months) for me to reupholster it in a navy velvet. I’m scared though. I’d love some feedback about tips and tricks from Denise. PLEASE! I need to tackle this project once and for all.

I love it! So bright. I have a chair in my home with a similar design and colors. The only problem is the white is looking dirty and it rarely gets used and is less than a year old. Anyone know how to keep it looking nice? The kids even know it is “mom’s special chair” and they usually stay off.
