You know what I think jazzed up this little potty nook the most? It’s not the shelves, even though they made a huge impact, obviously. In fact, I pinned something almost exactly like them on Pinterest a few months ago. I thought it would be perfect for my potty nook too, which made me realize that all three of the toilets in our home are in teeny tiny outhouse-sized rooms. My little powder room is actually the roomiest water closet of all! That just seems wrong. (I don’t actually say ‘water closet’ in real life.)
Anyway, back to what I think really jazzed up this room the most: it’s the shiny new toilet handle! Such a simple thing to upgrade. Now it’s chic to flush! (Not that it ever wasn’t). (Someone tell my kids).

July 25, 2012 at 6:50 PMAs someone who also has 2 tiny bathrooms in her house, I would like to ask Wendy how the shelves make her bathroom feel space-wise? I’d love to put shelves in mine but am afraid it would make an already small room feel claustrophobic.

July 25, 2012 at 7:38 PMPotty nook LOL! We call ours “the toilet room” double lol. There needs to be a whole new word for those little separate bathroom areas.

July 25, 2012 at 7:56 PMYour children sound like little environmentalists, refusing to flush until forced by management.

July 26, 2012 at 12:44 AMI think this is a fabulous – and stylish – use of storage space. We spend so little time using this 5 x 5 foot area that is just makes sense to make it multi purpose! Why didn’t I think of that before, duh. 🙂

July 26, 2012 at 1:02 PMLindsey- Thank you so much for featuring my bathroom! It made me giddy!
Since I am the 1 out of 5 here that actually puts the TP on the roll, I am to blame! Don’t worry though, the TP got a makeover too & is now properly placed on the holder!
Karen- I don’t think the shelves make the bathroom feel claustrophobic. I think they play off the vertical space & make it feel bigger! HTH
Thanks for all the kind comments! They made my day!
