Ever heard of pantry-envy-itis? It’s going around. I have a raging case of it right now, thanks to Karianne at Thistlewood Farms. You’ll probably catch it too, by the end of this post. While there is no known cure, doctors do recommend hanging a chandelier in your own pantry to help to alleviate the pain and discomfort caused by pantry-envy-itis.

June 21, 2012 at 2:45 PMI am so obsessed with organizing my pantry right now. Trying to figure out how with 3 kids, a dog, and a husband to keep it perfect? HA I think it’s impossible.

June 21, 2012 at 3:53 PMOh wow, wow, wow! I love that! I just bought a new house (well new to me) and I have an area I can turn into a pantry so I’ve been collecting ideas and I’m going to add this one to the pile!
Lets just build a house!

June 21, 2012 at 6:00 PMWearing my home inspector hat now… What happened to the electrical panel? If it’s concealed behind a cabinet door, it’s not accessible for maintenance or servicing, and would be flagged as a safety hazard.

June 21, 2012 at 7:48 PMI seriously want to move into that pantry! It would be impossible to get something without smiling!

June 21, 2012 at 7:50 PMI now have a space to put a pantry, since my new refrigerator is toooo big for closety space it was in. Sadly my space is not big enough for something as wonderful as this, but I am certainly filing this with the rest of the ideas I’ve been collecting!

June 21, 2012 at 7:52 PMI’m thinking, Sisson, that the panel is behind the door on the left of the refrigerator which is probably where to put a broom and mop, so still easily accessible and non-hazardous. I wish my electrical panel was inside. Sigh.

June 21, 2012 at 10:01 PMInvisible Mo, the electrical panel needs to have 36″ clear space in front of it. If it’s tucked inside that cabinet, there isn’t enough room for an electrician to safely work on it. If I were inspecting that house, I would certainly flag it.
