If your Habitat For Humanity Restore is anything like mine, they never have what you need. EVER. And if you happen to actually find something to buy there, when you get it home, it will ALWAYS be the wrong size, wattage, etc. and they WILL NOT let you return it. HA HA, NICE TRY LADY. But I’m not bitter. (Yes I am. I hate my Restore).
Anyway, I hope your Restore rocks. But if it doesn’t and you find yourself with some randomly sized cabinets like Micah did and no chance of returning them, well, whip out your saw and nail gun and caulk and a bunch of other stuff, and you MAKE them work for you! Know what you mean about the ReStore. Before we moved, the old one was awesome! The ladies who ran it were so organized and everything was priced great. New town, new ReStore – and it sounds just like yours, AWFUL. They are overflowing with junk that should be in a dumpster (think broken miniblinds) and everything is priced like it’s Lowe’s!
I guess the ReStore boils down to who’s running it?

Actually, they don’t really like using the cash register so when I find some odd or end without a price tag, they just tell me to toss a dollar in the donation jar. Love them!

Mind you they are a bazillion miles from where I live AND they seem to have managed a store inside a cupboard it is sooooo small. BUT baby steps for them here! I LOVED the one in Bend Oregon and wanted to ship EVERYTHING home but sadly finances didn’t extend to that.
