The Brady Bunch called. They don’t want their table back. That’s probably why it found its way to the auction floor where Allison from Vintage Charm and Restoration scooped it up. She wasn’t afraid of those astro-turfish seat cushions, or the overall state of neglect and grubbiness. She had much more than a hunch that it would somehow form an awesome dining set, and she was right! Don’t you love the colors? Rocky River and Manor House. I’ll leave it up to you to decide which is which!

February 3, 2012 at 6:44 PMOK, it is much improved. But my favorite part of the post was that it was darn funny in a sing song sort of way. Now instead of Star Wars I’ll be humming the Brady Bunch. I’m not sure if that is an improvement though.

February 3, 2012 at 8:13 PMThanks. I will be singing The Brady Bunch for the next 3 days. You have effectively ruined my entire weekend. I don’t love you anymore.
BUT, I love those aqua chairs so I guess it’s okay 😉
Have a great day Lindsey!

February 4, 2012 at 1:40 AMNot so sure I like the colour combo in the after. I think the table originally kept and the chairs as now would have been better. Each to their own tastes, I guess. However, I do admire someone taking on a job that big! I wish I had the energy! Cheers!

February 4, 2012 at 6:25 PMI actually like the chairs now and the table now. But I think the now chairs would have been great with the before table. Either way, someone is sure to love it. Different tastes for all the very different people. It’s a good thing we are not all the same. 🙂

February 7, 2012 at 5:38 PMI usually don’t post “constructive criticism” because I hate it when people do it to me. But I have to say, I loved the chippy paint on the before table and chairs. If they sanded and stained just the top and kept the paint on the rest and reupholstered the chairs I would have been lusting after it like crazy. Sometimes you just can’t replicate that great worn patina.
