Getting Pragmatic in the Attic

Have you ever wanted to try something hard, like say … running?  And talked yourself out of it a hundred times because you are too old/tired/out of shape/busy/cold/hot/whatever?  And then you see one of those inspirational stories that have me all teary-eyed just thinking about, like the little kid who was born with no legs, and how he can run an entire marathon before you could even get off the couch, and so you think to yourself, “Self, you have NO excuse.  Stop being so lame.”  Do you know what I’m talking about?  Where is this analogy going?  Am I saying I’m going to take up running?  Ha ha, no.  No thanks.  What I’m trying to say is that if Sarah can make a master bathroom out of this  … um … what is this? A spare-chimney attic crawl-space?  I have no idea.
ANYWAY, if Sarah can make a master bathroom out of this, then every single person out there with a working toilet and four walls has no excuse to not have a cute bathroom too!  See the whole story on her blog Lovely Chaos.

Ha, I have no idea why but I read the title of this post as “Getting pregnant in the attic.” I thought we were about to get a REALLLL interesting story!

LOL, I thought it said pregnant too, then I read the first line and about ever wanting something hard, and I just couldn’t pull my mind out of the gutter.

Anyway isn’t the saying something about making a silk purse out of a sows ear or something like that? That bathroom proves it.

Looks amazing! I love the look of that chimney in there!! Most would try to cover it up- but it really adds SO much detail!

My favorite line: “Self… stop being so LAME” after you just talked about a boy who couldn’t walk (aka: is lame)

Haha, yup I read pregnant too. I’m just LOVING this bathroom! And can you imagine what she just did for their resale value!? Through the roof! (Haha, well the attic is ALMOST through the roof!) I love how they left the chimney as-is; it gives it some nice texture!

I’m surprised by how many ‘hmmmm’ clicks this got.
Personally, I love it, and agree with the resale value point!

WOW! I would have never have thought to put a bathroom in there. Storage room yes, but not a bathroom. Props to them for thinking outside the box on that and going through with it. I am sure that plumbing that wasn’t too fun. I loved this redo!

I’m lovin’ it sick! It’s fantastic! I would smile every time I went to the loo. I wish we had an attic. Well we do, but you’d have a few visits to the chiropractor after crawling through it. 🙁
