Mirror Mirror, Off the Wall

In most cases, a large mirror gives the illusion of double the space in a room.  But somehow Staci’s bathroom actually looks bigger without the wall-o-mirrors, don’t you think?  Leaves more room for pretty light fixtures and accessories that your eye is drawn to, rather just a reflection of the other side of the room.  And if this bathroom is laid out like I think it is… you don’t really need to be seeing double of what is going on over there anyway.

Looks fantastic Staci!  I love the simple but striking color scheme.  See more on her blog Playing House.

ps: look here!  I added a Pinterest button to my posts!  I hope it works…

Wow! I completely agree; it looks bigger with the two separate mirrors. Terrific makeover!

Ahhhhhh!!! Thank you so much everyone and for sharing my bathroom!!! I do LOVE it now 🙂 it is my happy place 🙂 I couldn’t stand to throw out the HUGE ugly mirror, so I made my husband frame it out and it’s now leaning against my bedroom wall and looks SO cool!! Now, I just need to finish my bedroom so I can share the awesomeness of the mirror!!!

    My new mirrors are 24×30

    Thanks again!

That is what I want to do. I actually have bought the two mirrors to replace the big one but we are afraid to pull it off the wall–we’re afraid there will be holes put into the wall.

Meg, there were no holes behind ours and the mirror wasn’t glued on either… The dry wall was perfect behind it!

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! My bathroom is almost identical to this one where the tub is concerned and I was just going to leave the windows without ‘dressing’ because they used those thick glass blocks instead of real windows!! I’m definitely going to add curtains of some sort!!
