What on earth was going on in this before bathroom? It certainly wasn’t lacking any, uh, character. And that is the strangest, tiniest, pinkest, most embroidered toilet I have ever seen.
Leah and her husband put in a lot of hard work to achieve the finished product. It began as a simple DIY project, but didn’t go exactly as planned (do they ever?) and ended up taking nearly 5 years to complete. Check out her blog Storybook Ranch to see more of the transformation.
Looks great now, though! I love the built in cabinet. Thanks Leah!

March 1, 2010 at 7:34 PMHUGE improvement but honestly? I couldn’t get past the toilet area. The dirty base, exposed bolts and huge bin of reading material was distracting. I’m all for “keeping it real” but some things need to be hidden for a photo reveal no?

& those bolts. pft..Honestly,those babies will probably never get covered. Not until/if we get ready to list the house. Just keeping it real 😉

March 1, 2010 at 9:16 PMWell it still looks 110% better and SUPER cute with the beadboard. I’m annoying with my eye to detail obsession. My cross to bear. Carry on!

March 1, 2010 at 10:15 PMSo much better. I always wonder what would possess anyone to choose a pink toilet.

March 2, 2010 at 1:55 AMVery nice, but I just have to say the toilets with the “intestine” look give me the creeps. Mine are all straight, maybe because they are older?

March 2, 2010 at 4:34 AMThe house I grew up in had bathroom fixtures in that same pink! It was a very 50s thing to do. (Ours was combined with linoleum tiles in pink, grey, black, and white…seriously! I remember that my mom hated them.)
