No, this isn’t the transformation of Jannet’s little girl Lola, she’s already cute as a button. Instead, take note of that big dark buffet behind her and envision it in yellow. Or just nod and pretend that you are when we both know you’ve already scrolled down to the after.
Jannet fixes up and sells furniture like this for a living, but knew she was in trouble when she got her hands on this one because she just couldn’t part with it! She says people either love it or hate it, but I can’t imagine a world where people would hate something so fun! Either way, she’s made up her mind that she’s keeping her baby.
See it on her site Simple Matters.

November 30, 2011 at 4:37 PMI HATE IT in the dark wood, but I am OBSESSED with it in the yellow! Great piece of furniture, and great eye, because I would have walked right past it!

November 30, 2011 at 11:31 PMLove your site dearly, but that was a beautiful wood piece. I think we would have probably chosen a lighter wood refinish, but to each his own!
That piece is really a score! I wouldn’t have parted with it either.

December 1, 2011 at 4:23 AMI think the makeovers are great on your site, but your commentary cracks me up. Love your homage to Madonna. Made me laugh!

December 2, 2011 at 12:23 AMJannet, It was so BORING before. I think you gave it chic style many people aren’t stylish enough to pull off! Of course I love it, I’m waiting on my 3rd & 4th piece from you (unless we count the side tables separate then its 5th & 6th!).
