Holy stromboli, get excited!
Better After’s Annual
UGLY LAMP Contest
is officially underway!
Do you possess a truly horrible lamp? A chandelier of shame? A desk lamp of despair?
A sickening sconce? A repugnant pendant?
Well, dust off that loathsome light and give it a big hug, because it could very well be your ticket to fame and riches!
Or not.
But there is great prize!
Winner of the Ugliest Lamp (as voted upon you, dear reader!) will receive a
$75 gift certificate
generously provided by the good people at HomeTalk!
Enter today! Send an original picture of your ugly lamp to BetterAfter@live.com, subject line: “Ugly Lamp” no later than Saturday, September 3rd.
Can you top last year’s winner, Transgendered Alien Matador?
I’d like to see you try!

August 20, 2011 at 2:44 AMOh I so wish I’d seen this earlier. I had this wonderful bunny lamp when I was younger…think giant sculpture of a bunny with a lamp sticking out it’s back. I loved it but now I realized how odd is was. I even dressed it up to match the season…ah…3rd grade love.

August 21, 2011 at 8:53 PMPlease Lindsey. I’m still in therapy from looking at last years. How do you expect me to get my lamp aversion under control?

August 22, 2011 at 10:04 AMAs I look at this post and then at my leaning tower of lamp next to my desk I think..hm…this one could be a contender. It still works but is very ugly. Now If I put the broken lampshade from the semi better lamp, in the living room, wow now we’re talking weird. Worth a try…I sure could use a few new lamps. lol

August 23, 2012 at 5:06 PMLindsey, I’m getting much more enjoyment out of your written descriptions than the lamps! – very entertaining.
