Get ready for a couple of innovative ideas! So innovative that they get their own category! I call this category Innovative Ideas. I am nothing if not creative. I had a pet lamb as a child and I named it Lamby. This is who you are dealing with.
Ok, first Kristen and her handy husband had this massive beige sectional and needed to downsize. Plus, they were over the grimy beige. So one day they decided, what the heck, let’s chop this thing up and reupholster everything in purple and make a couch and an ottoman instead! Notice that it required building an entire extra arm on the couch? That is called using what you have. See it on her blog Call Me Kristen.
And here is another redo that has nothing to do with reconstructing sofas, but I think it deserves to be called an Innovative Idea! Amy had a horrible light fixture. It was small and dangly and kinda boobish. She also had a wire basket and nothing to lose (besides the demi-boob) so she came up with this!
