Did you grow up with a “front room?” The fancy room that no one was ever allowed to enter unless they were royalty or clergy and only then if they had removed their shoes?
I think today most people prefer to actually use the spaces they have, but also, ALSO… I kinda can see the point of the “front room.” It’s right there in front! It’s the room that should set the tone for everything else, the first and sometimes only look at your home that your guests see.
