Ashley from Decorating Obsessed had a simple idea. Rip this dingy carpet runner up off her stairs and enjoy the hardwood. Only, it wasn’t so simple. She soon realized that every step and riser was a separate piece of carpet stapled to the wood about 50 times. She had to pry each staple out one by one with pliers. Her hands cramped into arthritic claws and tears were shed, but she managed to persevere. And THEN there was even more drama lurking underneath! Check out the full story HERE.
