Sariah from Enchantresses 3 scored this old record player cabinet from Craigslist. I’m not sure how she managed to get it home, because my grandma has one of those things and it’s so dang heavy it hasn’t been moved in 40 years.
She gutted the inside and replaced the empty holes with beadboard, gave it one coat of blue and liked it exactly like that, experienced some frustration with new knobs, and ended up spray painting the original handles black, and there you go! Enchanting!

Love your blog

September 8, 2009 at 6:04 PMI love this! I wish I had the gumption to tackle something like this. I tend to shy away from “color” but I really love the blue. The Enchantresses 3 blog has more pictures of it too, which was fun to look at and see the process.
Fun blog! I’m adding you to my blog-roll!

September 8, 2009 at 8:06 PMI want one of these now. Its a great idea for the peice because nobody needs the old stereo system anymore and I am dying for a buffet for my dinning room.

I don’t think a cd player will every look so cute.

September 9, 2009 at 12:39 AMThanks for stopping by. I had to pop over and see what your blog was all about. I have to tell you I so love this post. I have one of these stereo cabinets and have been wanting to do something with it. This post just inspired me to do “red”. I have my dining room and my kitchen in red, and I am going to do red, and stress it a little. I so love this. Thanks so much for stopping by, otherwise I would not have ever known. Thank you so much for sharing. I have signed up to follow your blog, I can’t wait to see what you share next. I would so love it if you followed my blog as well. I would hope that something I make over could inspire you as well. Country hugs, Sherry
