Puppet Show

Here’s another great idea to totally repurpose an item of furniture. Beckie, the creative genius over at Infarrantly Creative (seriously, she can do it all) turned this hulking hutch thing into a puppet theater! Tell me, what little kid would not play with this all day? Check out her blog for a full tutorial. Thanks Beckie!

Chrome Lamp

I just can’t resist a good lamp redo and this one is so fantastic, I see it in my dreams. Jaclyn of Soma Design found this lamp at a thrift store, gave it a simple coat of matte white and then covered the existing shade with $5 chromolux posterboard! It looks so great with the chrome accessories.
 Love love it!

8 In tables/dressers

Crackle Dresser

This before dresser was sporting a thick layer of bright blue paint that took all of the attention away from its shape and character. “Excuse me!” I bet it would say, “Don’t you know I’m a regal chest of drawers? Put me on display, where I belong, not stuffed away in a little boy’s closet!”

Well, Lisa from Recaptured Charm rescued it from the flea market and enhanced it’s antique appeal with a crackle paint treatment. The old blue shows through the cracks slightly, giving it an aged and layered appearance, which I think is lovely!

Copper Headboard

This bedroom used to be just a little bit boring. See, even the sweet baby is bored to sleep. But Anna Rose, aka The How-To Gal, fixed that after finding a great set of copper lamps at a yard sale and making a headboard to match. See how she created this out of PAPER (!) right here.
