When we were first looking to buy a house, my husband tried to sell me on this one that he really liked. It had a nice backyard, a good neighborhood, and actually more square footage AND a lower price than all the others we were looking at.
HOWEVER, the front entry opened right smack into a dark, dreary hallway. I immediately felt depressed every time we walked through. Surprise! We didn’t get that house. (Not without much whining by my husband, who could have cared less about the entryway).
Same thing here: Deb’s foyer, (if you could even call it that) was just big enough to swing open the door. Not the most welcoming of entrances for guests. So she knocked around a few walls, added some doors and decor, and now it’s simply fabulous! Check out more on her blog,
